As part of the Abitur topic „Visions of the future: utopia and dystopia“, the Q2 basic English course read „The Wall“ (2019) by John Lanchester. Inspired by the inclusion of concrete poetry in the first chapters of the dystopian novel, the students addressed and illustrated different aspects of the book in form of concrete poems. The final product consisted in two collections of poems, which were compiled in mini booklets.
